Evidently Islam doesn't believe in rational thinking, scholarship or allowing its lemmings to question anything. Ever wonder why so much hate comes from your religion? You don't serve a god of love and peace, but of death and the devil.

Don't let anyone fall for that trap. Whenever someone challenges the nonsense or lies of Muslims, they first take an apparently conciliatory attitude and suggest that you "meet with a Muslim scholar" of some sort, or worse, with some imam. If you make the mistake of acepting, they will then try to paint Islam under the rosiest colors in the rainbow, ignoring completely the very dark sides of this pseudo-religion. If you fall for that, they will love you. If you don't, or simply object with rational arguments to the many ridiculously ludicrous stories they will use to try to convince you (did you know that Adam was the first Muslim in history?), you will see the level of animosity climb fast, and in the end the ugly truth is bound to blow up in the open: they are not in the least interested in hearing your arguments and having a fair and square dialogue with both sides being respectful of their respective opinions. They're only interested in doing what Muslims have been accustomed to expect for too many centuries: non-Muslims are to submit to Islam, whether they like it or not, because that's what their pseudo-prophet said 14 centuries ago. Don't nurture any illusions: Islam is a fascist ideology at its core, and in the end it will have only two possible ways to go: reform or destruction. Enjoy.

If you want a book about Islam, you should get one from a scholar not a bigot and a certified idiot like Spencer who knows nothing about islam.

Well, Mr. Anonymous, it would help if you told us why you consider this book a piece of trash instead of just trashing it. I for one would much more readily trust Spencer than any Muslim, scholar or not, given the fact that they are barred by definition from being critical, even in the slightest, about Muhammad and the Quran. In other words, if you want the truth, don't ask a Muslim. On the contrary, stay away from them. And if this wasn't bad enough, they are also authorized by the same Quran to lie through their teeth as long as it is "for the good of Islam" (whatever that means), and especially if the lies are directed at the non-believers (aka "Kaffirs"). Spencer is one of the best sources for someone looking for a reasonably critical assessment of Islam and Muhammad, but there are others as well, especially Ibn Warraq, himself a former Muslim who broke the taboo and omerta (Maffia rule of silence). Not surprisingly, his life (and Spencer's) are routinely threatened. So much for the religion of Peace. islam is terror...you muslims are continually defending your 'religion' while others are peacfully going about practicing theirs...do u ever get the impresion that islam is indefensible that mohamad was a criminal? And the crimes and horrid things that he did really just show that he was a messenger of satan...yes islam does equal terror misery and violence and the quicker we rid the world of this 'religion' the sooner we can all live in peace.

It really is important, as this reviewer does, to contrast various biographies of such controversial icons. There is so much disinformation out there about Muhammad. I would also recommend the biography at http://www.prophetofdoom.net/ .
